JAY K. GHIYA
Jay is an associate in Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP's Tax Department. His major practice areas include the federal taxation of corporations, partnerships and tax- exempt entities, with principal focus on structuring joint ventures, private equity funds, financing transactions and taxable and tax-free mergers, acquisitions and spin-offs. He has given numerous presentations on matters of federal income taxation, including several presentations at events of the Taxation Sections of both the State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He is active in the Taxation Section of the American Bar Association. Jay is currently serving as Chair of the Corporate and Business Entities Committee to the Taxation Section of the State Bar of California and Chair of the Business Entities Committee to the Taxation Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Jay received his JD with honors from the University of Southern California, where he graduated first in his class and was a member of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program.
EMILY MEYERS, Executive Director
In addition to leading Meaningful Media, Emily is also President of Eyes of the World Media Group
, which specializes in producing socially-relevant media. She has produced and directed projects for organizations such as the United Nations, National Institute on Drug Abuse, the State of California, UCLA and PBS. Before starting Meaningful Media and Eyes of the World, Emily worked as a strategic consultant for Fortune 100 companies. She has an MBA from Indiana University and is now part of the Producers Program at UCLA.
