Meaningful Mixers
Next Mixer: Sunday, June 13th, 1-4 PM
For those committed to changing our world through media, join us for our monthly Meaningful Mixers. It’s a great way to get to know the Meaningful Media team as well as other members. Come and share your thoughts and ideas for and about the organization and get to know what we have coming up. Each month we’ll focus on a relevant socially conscious media topic and serve you yummy drinks at the Meaningful Media Courtyard. So, stop on by, grab a drink, and enjoy the company! Details
Meaningful Movies Film Series
Each quarter, in conjunction with UCLA’s Melnitz Movies, Meaningful Media hosts a special multi-media movie screening event around a prominent film that is shining the spotlight on an important social issue. The evening typically includes a free screening, panel discussion, Q & A, reception, art/music show, and an interactive media center. We even make it easy for you to directly make a difference by participating a quick "Action Step" aligned with the theme of the film. We are also looking to expand our screening series outside of UCLA, so if you’re interested in partnering up or sponsoring any of our screenings, please contact us at connect@meaningfulmedia.org. Meaningful Media Educational Seminars/Courses
Interested in learning about box office trends for social issue films? Making films powerful but not preachy? Optimally using media to create change? You’re at the right place! These are some of the recent topics in Meaningful Media’s expanding innovative, research-based educational programming related to the role of media in our society. Our educational seminars, courses and materials have been developed utilizing a unique combination of industry experience, academic research, data driven analysis and are presented using an interactive multi-media approach. We invite all members and guests to take advantage of these great resources.
